What’s it all about?
Summer is almost here and if you are spending time outdoors, this could be for you!
The session will ensure that participants leave with a basic working knowledge of rope tying, simple splices, knots and the practical benefits learned from generations past.
What will we do?
You will learn knot tying for various uses such around the home, boating, camping, climbing and securing loads on a vehicle. We will also cover more technical rope skills such as joining two ropes of different diameters together, bowline loops etc.
Printed instructions will be provided as well as a length of rope for each participant to practice with.
Who will be teaching?
David has been ‘mucking about’ with boats and ropes for over thirty years and has learned to know and use different ropes for the many uses they offer.
